Meet Jim
James P. Davison DO, 69 of Tampa, Florida
Dr Davison has lived in the New Tampa section of Hillsborough County for 30 years. He has been married for 43 years to Diane and they have raised their four children here. He has worked in emergency rooms and urgent care centers throughout the county from Sun City Center to New Tampa and from Carrollwood/West Tampa to Brandon.
He received appointments from the BOCC to the County Citizens Advisory Committee, Indigent County Healthcare Board, County Trauma Auditing Committee and Emergency Medical Planning Council. He has been involved with local transportation efforts for over 27 years. He is co-founder and first chairman of the New Tampa Transportation Taskforce. He was appointed by Tampa City Council to the county wide transportation “Committee of 99”. He served as the volunteer Medical Director of the Sun City Rescue Squad from 1995 to 2006.
Dr Davison currently serves on the Hillsborough County Transportation Planning Organization's Advisory Commission working on the 5-year and Long-Range Transportation plans.
He was involved with establishing the BOCC Transportation Policy passed in 2016 which allocated $812 million dollars over 10-years to maintain and improve the transportation system in unincorporated Hillsborough County.
He has stood up to people and groups who have lied and manipulated the public to increase taxes, continue unsustainable development, and ignore our infrastructure needs. He has put forth proposals to meet our challenges, all without increasing your taxes. Yes, that is possible if we do this together.
